It’s possible that you may encounter “bad actors'' who attempt to impersonate Disney employees in order to gain access to your personal information or otherwise scam you. This practice is also known as “phishing”. If in doubt, visit my.disney.com and consider resetting your password to continue to keep your account secure.

What should I look out for?
If you’re ever feeling pressured or unsure, here are a few important notes to keep in mind:
- A Disney employee or agent/representative will never ask you for your full credit card number, bank account details, or password over the phone or during a chat
- You will never be asked to purchase gift cards or money orders in order to pay for your service
- Disney will never unexpectedly display a phone number in our app, or on our web pages, outside of the Disney Help Center
- Generally, Disney will not direct you to an unfamiliar third party for support, however, in some cases, it may be appropriate to contact your billing party (Apple, Google, etc.), device manufacturer, or promotional partner for further assistance with issues outside of our control
- We will never direct you to install third-party software in order to troubleshoot
- Be wary of sites that look like Disney but are not. Legitimate Disney sites will include a dot before “disney.com” (i.e., support.disney.com)
- Disney will never reach out to you via social media, email, text, or phone asking for payment or your private account information, such as password or billing details
What if I receive a suspicious link?
If you receive a suspicious email or text, here are some tips to help keep you safe:
- Don’t click any links or open any attachments
- Delete the email or text
- If you’re unsure whether it is legitimate or not, contact us directly
What if I already clicked the link?
If you clicked a link you think may be questionable, or entered information you now believe was gathered for malicious reasons, the following steps may help you stay protected:
- Update your MyDisney* password to one that uses a strong combination of characters and that is unique to MyDisney
- Update any additional sites or apps where you’ve used the same email address and password
- If you’ve entered any financial information, it is best to contact your financial institution(s) in order to prevent fraud attempts
- If you think someone may have already accessed your MyDisney account, you can log out of your account from all devices or contact us directly
*Updating your password will update your MyDisney login information — this change will apply to other services and experiences using MyDisney within The Walt Disney Family of Companies.
