Here’s some of the updates you might see when you track your parcel, and what they mean. These are listed alphabetically.
Pre-advice loaded
In this instance, Hermes don’t have your parcel yet but they know it’ll be with them soon.
Hub sorter receipt scan
Your parcel is now in the Hermes network.
Missing pre-advice
This means your parcel has entered the Hermes network before it was supposed to. Don’t worry! This won’t affect your delivery.
Signature from customer
Your parcel has been successfully delivered and signed for.
Signature from household
Someone in the household has successfully received the parcel and signed for it.
Signature from neighbour
Your parcel was delivered to, and signed by, a neighbour. There should be a note which number your parcel was dropped off at.
Delivered to porch
The courier has left your parcel in your porch.
Delivered to letterbox
Your parcel has been delivered and posted through the letterbox.
Secure delivery (other)
The courier has left your parcel in a safe space. There’ll be a note of where your parcel was delivered, and you can view this on a map.
Courier to re-attempt
Delivery was attempted but not successful, and the courier will try again later.
Not delivered – damaged parcel
The parcel was damaged in transit so is being returned to sender.
